Something about me

Usually, to those who ask me, I answer that I was born in Milan, inside a “bowl of ice cream”! Yes, I come from a family of ice cream makers, who have had, and still have, a certain notoriety in Milan.

The ’70s were very difficult times for me: the premature loss of my father, the small family business to run, with a mother just over 30 years old and a brother three years younger than me to take care of. I had the need and right to have other things to think about during my teenage years! However, awareness, responsibility and commitment are elements that, together with others, are strengthened by going through difficulties.

In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.

The first turn

Then it happened the fact that changed the course of events and changed what seemed to be an already marked life path. Finished the fifth year of “accounting” (and therefore acquired the so called “piece of paper”!), the accounting professor Zino came to find me one morning in October. He told me that an accountant was looking for a practitioner, a young man who wanted to train himself in his firm, aspiring to become himself an accountant, after having completed the internship and passed the state examination. I was thrilled, he thought of me!

The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.

I made up my mind and decided to begin this new adventure, also thanks to the fundamental and kind consent of my family (it was 1978). To realize now that I have been a member of the Milan accountants’ order for more than 35 years … well, it has a strange effect on me!

Passion, determination and focus have been useful elements to carry on what has always been my real mission: to help entrepreneurs and people deal with the jungle of tax legislation, always operating in an ethical way.

In all these years, I have had the opportunity to get to know deeply the entrepreneurs and their enterprises, small and large, all sharing the same dynamics connected to the business strategies and interpersonal relationships that intertwine within them.

Remember that there is nothing stable in human affairs; therefore avoid undue elation in prosperity, or undue depression in adversity

The second turn

It was 2014… I typed on Google “negotiation training course”. It is said that “the slightest flapping of a butterfly’s wings in one part of the world can cause a hurricane on the other side of the globe…”

That truly was what had happened. It was the turn that changed my way of thinking and seeing my profession. This change produced the so-called “butterfly effect”: the first step, which triggers the mechanism to make in the long term the big change.

Between 2014 and 2017, together with the specific courses for accountants, I attended various training courses, organized by Marcello Mancini of Performance Strategies. Some of them include: Conflict management (Sebastiano Zanolli), Trading (Emanuele Maria Sacchi, Stuart Diamond), Persuasion Ethics (Robert Cialdini, Paul McKenna), Leadership (Chester Elton, Jo Owen), Neuro-marketing (Francesco Gallucci, Matteo Motterlini), Emotional Intelligence (Daniel Goleman), Communication (with Jeffrey Zeig). In 2018 I continued with other courses, including “Esac-Emotional Skills and Competencies” and “ETAC-Evaluating Truthfulness and Credibility”, held by Diego Ingrassia, obtaining the relative certifications.

At that time, I was lucky enough to take part in some lectures held by the professor Giorgio Nardone, who dealt, among others, with the topic of strategic Problem Solving. I was so engaged with his speech, that in 2019 I started attending the “Master of 1st and 2nd level in Strategic Communication, Coaching, Problem Solving and Performance Science” organized by the Strategic Therapy Centre of Arezzo that he founded and still manages.

“Who does not value education, won’t go that far!”, said Mancini. And he was right.

Pure passion for the issues mentioned above, curiosity, the desire to learn and acquire the best skills so that they are made available to clients are the reasons that led me to invest in my education, going beyond the technical profession of the “Accountant”.Always in 2019, I merged my firm with that of Sandro Orsi (OBM & Associati). The Union of the two firms is bringing important synergies and interesting perspectives mainly for the clients and, consequently, for the partners and for the collaborators. In 2019, I also founded, together with Franco Ponsone, Marco Fanti and Camelo Spinella, SHC Advisor srl, in which I have the role of CEO. SHC Advisor manages Merger & Acquisition (M&A) operations, in partnership with the client, in order to assist and support him in achieving his strategic objectives. The second turn

Why all this?

My vision

The figure of the Business Professional (of the Accountant, in particular) is going through a deep transformation. Among the various aspects, the software tools (which many of them are free, provided by the central administration) will allow to carry out with “relative simplicity” a good part of the business activities, in particular the ordinary and repetitive ones, tax assets and so on, which are currently assigned to business professionals.

My mission

My mission is to offer specialized and valuable business consulting services to help my Clients solve problems related to growth, generational handover and the creation of company value, both through internal lines (Strategic Advice), and external lines (M&A Advisor in Corporate Finance).
